Update:
The deceased driver of the Chevrolet S-10 has been identified as 75-year-old Dennis Wasuli, of Anchorage. Next of kin notification has been completed.On June 9, 2024, at 2:23pm the Alaska State Troopers received a report of a vehicle collision on the Seward Highway, near milepost 75, between Ingram Creek and the Welcome to Alaska’s Kenai Peninsula sign. Investigation determined that a northbound Chevy S-10 crossed the centerline and struck a pickup towing an RV. The driver and sole occupant of the S-10 was declared deceased at the scene. Both occupants of the pickup were transported to an Anchorage area hospital, with non-life-threatening injuries. No other vehicles were involved. The Seward Highway was closed for approximately six hours. There are no indications alcohol was a factor. The cause of the crash is under investigation.

On 06/09/204 at approximately 2051 hours, Troopers responded to MM115 Richardson for a report of a disturbance. Upon further investigation, Michael Doroshenko, 34, of Fairbanks, was arrested and charged with Assault 4 (DV). Doroshenko was remanded to the custody of the Glennallen Jail.

On 6/9/2024, at approximaltey 1531 hours, the Alaska State Troopers received a report of a disturbance in the area of Silver Drive in Wasilla. AST responded to the scene. AST contacted Robert Adams, age 30 of Wasilla. Investigation revealed that Robert assaulted another family member. Robert was charged with the crime of Assault IV and additionally was charged with the crime of Reckless Endangerment to another family member. Robert was arrested and transported to Matsu Pretrial, where he was remanded and held without bail.

On 6/9/24 at approximately 1629 hours Palmer AST responded to an address on W Crazy Pearsons Rd to investigate a 911 hang-up. On scene AST contacted Chase Cunitz, age 21 of Wasilla. Investigation revealed Cunitz was a respondent in a Domestic Violence Protective Order and was violating this order by being in direct contact with the Petitioner. Cunitz was arrested and transported to Mat-Su Pretrial where he was remanded without bail.

On 6/9/24 at approximately 1330 hours Palmer AST responded to an address Old Glenn Hwy and McKechnie Lp for report of a disturbance. Investigation revealed Joseph Cole-Boucher, age 32 of Palmer, had assaulted a household member. Cole-Boucher was placed under arrest and transported to Mat-Su Pretrial where he was remanded without bail for 1 count of DV Assault 4th Degree.

On 06/09/24 at 1318 hours, the Alaska State Troopers were notified of REDDI on the Parks Highway in Wasilla. AST located the vehicle and investigation revealed the operator, Kelly Sanders age 50 of Wasilla, was under the influence of alcoholic beverages. Sanders provided a sample of his breath which was .302 BrAC. Sanders was remanded at Matsu Pretrial for driving under the influence.

On 6/9/2024 AST responded to the area of Loftus Rd for a report of a Trespass. Upon further investigation Troopers learned Kaitlynn Active (25) assaulted a household member. Kaitlynn was also actively trespassing on the property after recently being of a trespass from there. Kaitlynn was arrested and remanded at FCC without incident.

On 06/09/2024 at 0425 hours the Alaska State Troopers responded to a disturbance near Mile 129 Denali Highway, Cantwell. Gary Roberts, age 42 from Anchorage was located hiding nearby in the bushes. Investigation determined Roberts had an outstanding$50 misdemeanor arrest warrant from Nome for Failure to Appear for the original charge of Criminal Trespass. Roberts arrested and remanded to Fairbanks Correctional Center.

On June 4, 2024 Alaska State Troopers received a walk-in report that a rental vehicle had been struck by a white commercial motor vehicle towing a flatbed trailer around 11:30 PM on June 3, near the Tanana River in Tok. The commercial motor vehicle then left the area without stopping. There were no injuries. Investigation is ongoing.

On June 9, 2024, at 1800 hours, the Alaska State Troopers received a report of a motor vehicle accident at approximately 25 miles Elliott Highway. No injuries were reported, and medical treatment was declined. After further investigation, Dustin Neal, age 42 of North Pole, was arrested for driving under the influence. Dustin was remanded to Fairbanks Correctional Center without incident.
