ABC News anchor George Stephanopoulos will host the first interview with President Biden since his lackluster performance in last week’s presidential debate. Brian Kilmeade believes it is an important opportunity for the longtime host.

Stephanopoulos scored the first interview with the President and will conduct it on Friday. A portion will air on World News Tonight with David Muir on Friday evening. The interview will then air on Stephanopoulos’ This Week program Sunday morning, with an additional portion airing on Good Morning America on Monday, July 8th.

In a post to social media, Fox News host and nationally syndicated radio host Brian Kilmeade shared his opinion that George Stephanopoulos may have an ulterior motive at play in conducting the interview.

“Watch George go for Biden knockout to save his reputation!,” Kilmeade wrote as he shared a story of former Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley mocking the ABC News host for dismissing her statements that the President was in cognitive decline.

Haley made the claims last August in an interview on Good Morning America. She added that there was “no way” Biden would finish his first term. In response, Stephanopoulos said “How do you know Joe Biden’s not gonna finish his term? What is that based on?”

Haley mocked the host this week by asking “Believe me now, George?”

The fight to keep AM radio in new vehicle models continues as Congress has yet to vote on the AM Radio for Every Vehicle Act. Buck Sexton believes it’s a vital piece of legislation.

During The Clay Travis & Buck Sexton Show, Sexton shared a personal story of how the band continues to be a useful medium for him.

“I get a lot of my important news and information driving. I’m down here in Florida and I listen to the various AM stations and I just can’t imagine not having AM radio in my car,” said Sexton. “No other platform is as reliable as AM radio in South Florida. We got to worry about extreme weather.”

Travis concurred, noting that he also must be weary of severe weather, including tornadoes, and hoped that “House and Senate leadership will bring this up for a vote,” sooner rather than later to ensure that AM remains a viable platform.

While the AM Radio for Every Vehicle Act has received widespread, bipartisan support in both chambers of Congress, it has yet to be put to a vote. Some lawmakers have expressed interest in changing certain aspects of the bill before putting it to a vote.

Fox News is the biggest cable network and has been for several years. 710 WOR host Mark Simone says there may be a formula for others to follow.

While interviewing former Fox News host Bill O’Reilly Tuesday, Simone argued that the light-hearted humor shared on the network makes it a more palatable experience for the cable news viewer.

“If you watch Fox, it’s a fun kind of network,” Simone said. “You, and Ailes, you were fun … If I watched you or Hannity, you’re making jokes, you do some funny stuff at the beginning. Can you imagine Kristen Welker making a joke? Can you imagine Jake Tapper smiling and making a joke? You can’t.”

O’Reilly shared his belief that Fox News “is not what it was. Everyone knows that,” but did give the network kudos for stockpiling the best talent in the industry. “It overwhelms the others and that’s why they continue to win the ratings race.”
