Ancient Relic?

Bravo Shaw is a member of an ancient, secret religious society that hunts down ancient relics. He has been told that the cloth that wiped Christ’s face-The Veronica cloth-is located in Arizona.

Although members of his team are tortured and murdered by a rival religious society-The Knights of Clement-they have not revealed its secret location.

With help from an elderly butler, an ancient nun and a GPS expert, Bravo Shaw is encouraged to go after the relic.

This book is part of a collection. The stories are short but sweet.

Very interesting plot. This was a fun short story with an interesting twist. Bravo Shaw and Ali Reynolds working together to find the Veronica, the veil which is believed to of been used to wipe Jesus’s blood off his brow at his crucifixion.

SHORT AND SNOWY

A very fast read about a mining treasure that to many people want. One side is for profit, and the other to save history.

This is a collaborative novella by J.A. Jance and Eric VanLustbader in Simon and Schuster's Anthology Series matching up a character from each author's novels. In this case, the veil is a long lost cloth dating back to the time of Jesus. This is a quick read and worth the time. I found this and other Match Up stories on Amazon. About $.99 each.

These "Matchup" short stories are fun, but they don't always work very well. Sometimes it's hard to merge two very different leading characters in a short story. In this case, I didn't feel like I got to know either of the leading characters very well. The story itself was exciting, but the ending was a little puzzling and disappointing.

It was okay, but I was bored. I do admit that thrillers aren't my genre so I may have been a wee bit biased.

This is a short piece, but it features Ali and her badass butler as well as a mysterious character named Bravo Shaw from Eric von Lustbader's series.

I enjoyed so much the whole collection. This is the last one I read and did not let me down. It's amazing how in so short space the authors make a whole story. I recommend the whole collection.

J. A. Jance I’ve never read, I have read a few of Van Lustbader’s books. Just another story in this wonderful collection that was a joy to read.

I was able to put this book down, even though it was a short story. Really didn't grab my attention.

Okay

Story is okay, the most memorable is the fact that it was unwritten by two authors I have enjoyed in the past.
