Get Started with Data Hub Configuration Portal (2024)

You are here:

The Data Hub Configuration Portal interface is designed to allow quick access to the tools and activities you need to manage and monitor Data Hub jobs:

  • Monitoring. Monitor pipeline and wrapper performance summary, job history information, and audit history details.
  • Setup. Configure pipeline settings, and map paycodes, location types, and custom drivers. Map paycodes in bulk. View your fiscal calendar values and update them in bulk. Schedule wrappers to run your pipeline jobs and run wrapper jobs ad hoc. Add wrapper override profiles.
  • Alert Management. View the alert history for mapping and pipeline jobs. Subscribe to alerts to receive emails or BigQuery updates when alerts are triggered based on criteria you configure.

Access Data Hub Configuration Portal

You access the Configuration Portal two ways:

  • Bookmark the URL, for example, //mycompanyserver-dhub.companyenv.mykronos.com/datahub/selfservice, open in a browser, and log in.
  • Navigate from a Data Hub custom tile added to your UKG Pro Workforce Management™ Home page. For more information about adding a Data Hub custom tile configured with the tenant URL, see the UKG Community Knowledgebase article How To Create Data Hub Configuration Portal Custom Tile in UKG Pro Workforce Management™.

If you are not already logged in to UKG Pro Workforce Management™, you will be prompted to log in before the Configuration Portal opens.

After Data Hub is deployed, log in to the Configuration Portal with a URL specific for your tenant and environment. You either bookmark the URL or navigate from Data Hub tile on your UKG Pro Workforce Management™ Home page. The Configuration Portal supports logging in using either basic or federated single sign-on (SSO) authentication.

Note: When you navigate from the UKG Pro Workforce Management™ Data Hub Home page tile, the type of authentication depends on how the URL for the tile was configured.

The URL syntax depends on the authentication type:

  • Basic: https://myhostname-dhub.env.mykronos.com/datahub/selfservice
  • Federated: https://myhostname-dhub-sso.env.mykronos.com/datahub/selfservice

Where

  • myhostname is the hostname of your UKG Pro Workforce Management™ tenant.
  • env is the type of Data Hub environment, either npr for non-production or prd for production.

For example, if Acme company’s production UKG Pro Workforce Management™ tenant URL is https://acme.prd.mykronos.com, the URLs for their Data Hub Configuration Portal would be:

  • Basic: https://acme-dhub.prd.mykronos.com/datahub/selfservice
  • Federated: https://acme-dhub-sso.prd.mykronos.com/datahub/selfservice

Note: If you are already logged in to UKG Pro Workforce Management™ when you access the Configuration Portal, you will not be prompted to log in again.

Log in with basic authentication

  1. Open the basic authentication URL in a browser or click the Data Hub Home page tile. The UKG Pro Workforce Management™ Log In page displays.
  2. Enter your UKG Pro Workforce Management™ Username and Password and click Log In. The Configuration Portal Home page opens.

Log in with federated (SSO) authentication

  1. Open the federated authentication URL in a browser or click the Data Hub Home page tile. The log in page displays for the identity platform (such as ForgeRock) for which your tenant is federated.
  2. Log in using your SSO username and password. This authenticates you for single sign-on.
  3. The Configuration Portal Home page opens.

If a wrapper job does not have a projected duration, then the job is paused.Click Job Scheduling to view and manage job scheduling.

Common Tasks

The tiles and tables on pages in Data Hub Configuration Portal can be customized and managed as follows:

  • Filter Columns. Click the down caret Get Started with Data Hub Configuration Portal (13)to the right of a column heading. A search filter opens. Enter filter criteria to see only those rows containing the value. For example, Contains > Budget. To remove the filter, click the filter Get Started with Data Hub Configuration Portal (14) at the top-right of the view and select Clear All Filters. You can filter more than one column at a time to refine the results. For example, when you filter a second column, that filter is applied to only those rows returned by the first filter.
  • Sort Columns. To sort a column in ascending order, click the column header. To sort in descending order, click the column header again. To return to its default order, click the column header a third time.
  • Show All Filter Row. Click the filterGet Started with Data Hub Configuration Portal (15) at the top-right of a view or panel and select Show All Filter Row. This displays another row across the top of the table. Enter criteria in the filter row to filter a column. To remove the filter row, from the filter menu select Hide All Filter Row.
  • Hide/Show Columns. By default, all available columns display in a view or panel table. To hide a column, click the filter Get Started with Data Hub Configuration Portal (16) on the top-right of the view and deselect the column name. The column is removed from the table. To show the column again, select the column name in the filter menu.
  • Refresh. Many pages allow you to reload the data on the page. To refresh a page, click Get Started with Data Hub Configuration Portal (17) (or Refresh) on the top right. The time zone of the UKG Pro Workforce Management™ server displays on all pages and many pages show the time the page was last refreshed. This helps ensure you are looking at the most recent information. On the Home page, you refresh data for each panel rather than the entire page.
  • Forward/Backward Page Navigation. To navigate pages in the portal, click your browser's forward and backward buttons.

Language Support

The Data Hub Configuration Portal interface supports the translation and locale settings applied in UKG Pro Workforce Management™. When the display language is set for the UKG Pro Workforce Management™ server on the current tenant, the Data Hub Configuration Portal interface inherits the change. The display language is reflected in the headings, buttons, tabs, and other text. 12 languages are available, including English.

Note: User data displayed in the interface and text in certain views are not translated. Chinese language translation is not available in Data Hub R10. For more information, see the UKG Pro Workforce Management™ online help.
