Not everyone loads into Dead by Daylight with a full squad, which can make it difficult for players to survive. Killers have an abundance of perks that make it difficult to survive if players have a lack of communication.

Luckily, there are many perks in the game that allows players to communicate and work together without even talking. Of course, there are the most popular perks that nearly every survivor runs, like Iron Will andexhaustion perks like Lithe. Other than the meta perks, players can put together aunique build that makes it incredibly easy to become a strategic survivor in Dead by Daylight.
Left Behind
It's hard to tell how many people are going to make it out alive when going into a match. When playing with randoms, it's likely every other survivor will end up dying. That's where Left Behind comes in handy.
When playing as the final survivor, there are only two options: finish the remaining gens, or search for the hatch. Looking for the hatch is the quickest way to escape, and this perk will show the last survivor the aura of the hatch if they're within 23-32 meters, almost guaranteeing an escape.
Deliverance
Players might find it hard to depend on random teammates. When there's a lack of communication, it's likely they'll leave you hanging on the hook in order to finish the remaining generators.
With Deliverance, survivors are able to pull themselves off the hook if it's their first time on it, and if they've safely pulled someone else off beforehand. There are some conditions to this perk, but not having to rely on randoms makes it worth running.
Self-Care
When a survivor is unfortunately hit by the killer or taken off the hook, they're inevitably injured. Their only options are to heal using a medkit or search for another survivor to heal them.
With Self-Care, players have the option tobring in another item, such as a flashlight, toolbox, or skeleton key. This way, survivors can heal fully heal themselves as many times as they'd like without having to depend on their teammates or wasting an item slot. There are a few healing perks in the game that this could also be substituted with, such as Inner Healing, which is great to combat the perk Nurse's Calling.
Bond (Dwight)
Not knowing what other teammates are doing is the biggest downfall when players aren't teamed up with friends. Callouts are almost essential to survive, and working together gets generators done faster.
With Bond, you can always see the aura ofyour teammates during a match. No one else is able to see your aura, but this perk works perfectly to find survivors working on generators, or even see which players are being chased by the killer. An alternative to this perk is Aftercare, which lets you see the aura of any player you heal.
Kindred (General Perk)
One of the worst things that could happen to a solo survivor is being left on the hook for ages.Oftentimes, random teammates will continue working on gens and assume another teammate is going to rescue a player from the hook. These assumptions can result in a survivor going to the second phase, or even dying on the hook without ever being rescued.
With Kindred, teammates can see the aura of every other survivor while you're on the hook and even see the killer's aura as well. This way,random teammates know whichplayers are working on generators and can figure out the perfect time to go for the rescue.
Empathy (Claudette Morrel)
Many survivors only look out for themselves. While Dead By Daylight is a survival game, teamwork is important. Even though many solo survivors don't find it necessary to worry about their team, once they're all gone there will be no one to pull the last survivor off the hook.

With Empathy, the player is able to see the aura of injured teammates, which is essential for helping out the team and making sure no one is an easy target.
Sole Survivor
It's rare to get a perfect team when playing with randoms, which means it's likely many teammates will end up dying as the game progresses. As of now, it's pretty meta for the scariest killers on Dead by Daylight to run aura reading perks in order to easilytrack survivors.
With Sole Survivor, a player can have their aura hidden within a certain distance of the killer. The range of which this aura hides the perk depends on how many teammates are alive. Ifa player is the last person standing, the killer won't readtheir aura within a range of 72 meters.
Detective's Hunch (Detective Tapp)
When surviving with friends, it's easy for friends to give callouts to certain items on the map, or even let everyone know if they saw a lit totem while being chased. When playing alone, all of this information is left up in the air, which makes it challenging to search through the scariest maps in Dead by Daylight.
With Detective's Hunch, the player using the perk can see the aura of chests, totems, hooks, and generators for a few seconds after a generator is finished. This is perfect for players wanting to get rid of hex totems, or searching for a specific item in a chest.
Spine Chill (General Perk)
While working on a generator with friends, they'll likely call out when the killer is on their way, in case someone else's camera isn't positioned in the right direction. While playing alone, survivors have to constantly be on their toes. Especially now that manykillers on Dead by Daylight have the best powers, which can even make them completely silent.

With Spine Chill, the perk will light up whenever the killer is facing the player's direction if they're within a certain distance. This perk is perfect for knowing the right time to sneak off a generator. There are also other helpful perks that reveal the killer's aura, such as Alert, Dark Sense, and Premonition. These are all excellent to combat silent killers.
Situational Awareness (General Perk)
Players can get through generators much more quickly when working together, but sometimes it's hard to find other players who are working on gens.
With Situational Awareness, formerly called Better Together, the entire team can see the aura of the genyou'reworking on, making it easier to work together. This perk also allows the player to see the aura of every survivor if the killer downs a teammate. Situational Awareness goes perfectly with Prove Thyself to speed-run gens.
